دعاء الإفتتاح

Dua e Iftetah

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad(s.a.w) and the progeny of Muhammad(s.a.w)

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَفْتَتِحُ الثَّنٰۤاءَ بِحَمْدِكَ

O Allah, I begin the glorification of You with praising You

وَاَ نْتَ مُسَدِّدٌ لِلصَّوَابِ بِمَنِّكَ

and You always guide us to the right out of Your favors upon us

وَاَيْقَنْتُ اَنَّكَ اَنْتَ اَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ فِيْ مَوْضِعِ الْعَفْوِ وَالرَّحْمَةِ

I am certain that You are the most Merciful of all those who show mercy in situations of pardon and mercy

وَاَشَدُّ الْمُعَاقِبِيْنَ فِيْ مَوْضِعِ النَّكَالِ وَالنِّقِمَةِ

the harshest in punishments in situations of giving exemplary punishment and chastisement (to the wrongdoers),

وَاَعْظَمُ الْمُتَجَبِّرِيْنَ فِيْ مَوْضِعِ الْكِبْرِيٰۤاءِ وَالْعَظَمَةِ

and the greatest Omnipotent in the domain of absolute power and might

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَذِنْتَ لِيْ فِيْ دُعَائِكَ وَمَسْئَلَتِكَ

O Allah, You have permitted me to pray and beseech You

فَاسْمَعْ يَا سَمِيْعُ مِدْحَتِيْ

So, listen, O All-hearer, to my words of praise

وَاَجِبْ يَا رَحِيْمُ دَعْوَتِيْ

reply my prayer, O All-merciful

وَاَ قِلْ يَا غَفُوْرُ عَثْرَتِيْ 

and overlook my slips, O all-forgiving one

فَكَمْ يَا اِلٰهِيْ مِنْ كُرْبَةٍ قَدْ فَرَّجْتَهَا

You, O my God, have relieved so many of my grievances

وَهُمُوْمٍ قَدْ كَشَفْتَهَا

dispelled so many of my sorrows

وَعَثْرَةٍ قَدْ اَقَلْتَهَا

overlooked so many of my slips

وَرَحْمَةٍ قَدْ نَشَرْتَها

spread over me many of Your mercies

وَحَلْقَةِ بَلٰۤاءٍ قَدْ فَكَكْتَهَا

and unlocked so many rings of misfortunes (in which I was detained)

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ صَاحِبَةً وَلَاوَلَداً

All praise be to Allah Who has not betaken wife or son

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَرِيْكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ

Who has no partner in the sovereignty

وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِيٌ مِنَ الذُّلِ وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيراً

nor does He have any protecting friend through dependence and Magnify Him with all magnificence

اَ لْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ بِجَمِيْعِ مَحَامِدِهِ كُلِّهَاعَلٰى جَمِيْعِ نِعَمِهِ كُلِّهَا

All praise be to Allah with full gratitude for all His bounties

اَ لْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِي لَامُضٰۤادَّ لَهُ فِيْ مُلْكِهِ

All praise be to Allah Who has no opposition in His rule

وَلَا مُنٰازِعَ لَهُ فِيْ اَمْرِهِ

nor there is any challenge to His commands

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهُ فِيْ خَلْقِهِ

All praise be to Allah Who has no counsel to meddle with His operation of creation

وَلَاشَبِيْهَ لَهُ فِيْ عَظَمَتِهِ

nor there is anything similar to Him in His greatness

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الْفَاشِيْ فِي الْخَلْقِ اَمْرُهُ وَحَمْدُهُ الظَّاهِرِ بِالْكَرَمِ مَجْدُهُ 

All praise be to Allah Whose commandments and praise are active in the creation, His glory is evident through His kindness

اَلْبٰاسِطِ بِالْجُوْدِ يَدَهُ

His distinct overflowing generosity is freely available

اَ لَّذِيْ لَا تَنْقُصُ خَزَائِنُهُ

His unlimited bestowals do not exhaust

وَلَا تَزِيْدُهُ كَثْرَةُ الْعَطٰۤاءِ اِلَّا جُوْداً وَكَرَماً

and Whose opulent bestowals increase Him nothing but magnanimity and generosity

إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْوَهَّابُ

Verily He is Mighty, Abundantly Giver

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْئَلُكَ قَلِيْلًا مِّنْ كَثِيْرٍ

O Allah, I ask You for a little out of much

مَعَ حَاجَةٍ بِيْ اِلَيْهِ عَظِيْمَةٍ

along with a great need on my part for it

وَغِنٰاكَ عَنْهُ قَدِيْمٌ

and Your needlessness for it is since eternity

وَهُوَ عِنْدِيْ كَثِيْرٌوَهُوَ عَلَيْكَ سَهْلٌ يَسِيْرٌ

and it is to me much, while it is for You easy and simple

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّ عَفْوَكَ عَنْ ذَنْبِيْ

O Allah, truly Your pardon for my sin

وَتَجَاوُزَكَ عَنْ خَطِيْئَتِيْ

and Your disregard of my mistake

وَصَفْحَكَ عَنْ ظُلْمِيْ

and Your forgiveness of my disorderly conduct

وَسِتْرَكَ عَلٰى قَبِيْحِ عَمَلِيْ

and Your covering over my hideous actions

وَحِلْمَكَ عَنْ كَثِيْرِ جُرْمِيْ

and Your forbearance toward my many offenses

عِنْدَ مَا كَانَ مِنْ خَطَإِيْ وَعَمْدِيْ

when it was from my error and my intent

اَطْمَعَنِيْ فِۤيْ اَنْ اَسْئَلَكَ مٰا لَا اَسْتَوْجِبُهُ مِنْكَ

emboldened me to ask You for what I do not deserve from You

الَّذِيْ رَزَقْتَنِيْ مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ

which You bestowed upon me from Your mercy

وَاَرَيْتَنِيْ مِنْ قُدْرَتِكَ

and You showed me of Your power

وَعَرَّفْتَنِيْ مِنْ اِجَابَتِكَ

and You acquainted me with Your response

فَصِرْتُ اَدْعُوْكَ اٰمِناًوَاَسْئَلُكَ مُسْتَاْنِساً

so I became calling upon You securely and asking You familiarly

لَا خٰۤائِفاً وَلَا وَجِلًا

neither fearing nor apprehensive

مُدِلًّا عَلَيْكَ فِيْمٰا قَصَدْتُ فِيْهِ اِلَيْكَ

acting with familiarity toward You in what I aimed for toward You

فَاِنْ اَبْطَاَ عَنِّيْ عَتَبْتُ بِجَهْلِيْ عَلَيْكَ

and if it was slow to reach me, I reproached You in my ignorance

وَلَعَلَّ الَّذِيْ أَبْطَاءَ عَنِّيْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ لِيْ لِعِلْمِكَ بِعَاقِبَةِ الْاُمُورِ

and perhaps that which was slow for me is better for me, due to Your knowledge of the outcome of affairs

فَلَمْ اَرَمَوْلىً كَرِيْماً

and I have never seen a noble master

اَصْبَرَ عَلٰى عَبْدٍ لَئِيْمٍ مِنْكَ عَلَيَّ

more patient with a vile servant than You are with me

يَا رَبِّ اِنَّكَ تَدْعُوْنِيْ فَاُوَلِّيْ عَنْكَ

O Lord, indeed You call me, but I turn away from You

وَتَتَحَبَّبُ اِلَيَّ فَاَ تَبَغَّضُ اِلَيْكَ

and You show love to me, yet I act with hatred toward You

وَتَتَوَدَّدُ إِلَيَّ فَلاَ أَقْبَلُ مِنْكَ، كَأَنَّ لِيَ التَّطَوُّلَ عَلَيْكَ

and You show affection to me yet I do not accept [it] from You, as if I had superiority over You

فَلَمْ يَمْنَعْكَ ذٰلِكَ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ لِيْ وَالْاِحْسَانِ اِلَيَّ وَالتَّفَضُّلِ عَلَيَّ بِجُوْدِكَ وَكَرَمِكَ

yet that did not prevent You from having mercy on me, and being kind to me, and blessing me out of Your magnanimity and generosity

فَارْحَمْ عَبْدَكَ الْجَاهِلَ وَجُدْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَضْلِ اِحْسَانِكَ

so have mercy on Your ignorant servant and bestow upon him through the grace of Your beneficence

اِنَّكَ جَوَادٌ كَرِيْمٌ

Verily, You are All-magnanimous and All-generous

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ مَالِكِ الْمُلْكِ

All praise is for Allah, the Owner of Sovereignty

مُجْرِي الْفُلْكِ

the One who causes the ships to sail

مُسَخِّرِ الرِّيٰاحِ

the Subduer of the winds

فَالِقِ الاِصْبٰاحِ

the Cleaver of the dawn

دَيّٰانِ الدِّيْنِ

the Judge of the Day of Judgment

رَبِّ الْعٰالَمِيْنَ

Lord of the worlds

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ عَلٰى حِلْمِهِ بَعْدَ عِلْمِهِ

All praise is for Allah, for His forbearance despite His knowledge

وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ عَلٰى عَفْوِهِ بَعْدَ قُدْرَتِهِ

and all praise is for Allah, for His pardon despite His power

وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ عَلٰى طُوْلِ اَنٰاتِهِ فِي غَضَبِهِ

and all praise is for Allah, for the respite that He allows in spite of provocation

وَهُوَ قٰادِرٌ عَلٰى مٰا يُرِيْدُ

and He is Powerful over whatever He wills

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ خٰالِقِ الْخَلْقِ

All praise be to Allah, the Creator of all created beings,

بٰاسِطِ الرِّزْقِ

The Dispenser of all sustenance

فٰالِقِ الْإِصْبٰاحِ

Cleaver of the dawn

ذِي الْجَلٰالِ وَالإِكْرَامِ وَالْفَضْلِ وَالْلإِنْعَامِ

Possessor of majesty and honor, of bounty and grace

الَّذِي بَعُدَ فَلَا يُرىٰ وَقَرُبَ فَشَهِدَ النَّجْوىٰ

Who is remote and cannot be seen, yet is near and witnesses the secret discourse

تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالٰى

Blessed and Exalted be He.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ لَيْسَ لَهُ مُنٰازِعٌ يُعٰادِلُهُ

All praise be to Allah Who has no equal to challenge Him

وَلٰا شَبِيْهٌ يُشٰاكِلُهُ وَلٰا ظَهِيْرٌ يُعٰاضِدُهُ

Neither peer to resemble Him nor helper to support Him

قَهَرَ بِعِزَّتِهِ الْأَعِزَّ اٰۤءَوَتَوَاضَعَ لِعَظَمَتِهِ الْعُظَمٰۤاءُ

Who by His might subdued the mighty, and before whose greatness the great humbled themselves

فَبَلَغَ بِقُدْرَتِهِ مٰا يَشٰۤاءُ

And by His power attained whatever He wills

اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي يُجِيْبُنِي حِيْنَ أُنَادِيْهِ

All praise be to Allah, who answers me whenever I call upon Him

وَيَسْتُرُ عَلَيَّ كُلَّ عَوْرَةٍ وَاَنَا اَعْصِيْهِ

And veils every fault of mine while I disobey Him

وَيُعَظِّمُ النِّعْمَةَ عَلَيَّ فَلٰا اُجٰازِيْهِ

And magnifies the favor upon me while I do not repay Him

فَكَمْ مِنْ مَوْهِبَةٍ هَنِيْئَةٍ قَدْ اَعْطٰانِيْ

And how many a pleasant gift He has granted me

وَعَظِيْمَةٍ مَخُوْفَةٍ قَدْ كَفٰانِيْ

And how many a great terror He has spared me

وَبَهْجَةٍ مُوْنِقَةٍ قَدْ اَرٰانِيْ

And how many a delightful splendor He has shown me

فَا ُثْنِيْ عَلَيْهِ حٰامِداً

Therefore, I praise Him with thankfulness

وَاَذْكُرُهُ مُسَبِّحاً

And I remember Him, glorifying Him

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ لَا يُهْتَكُ حِجٰابُهُ

All praise be to Allah, whose veil is never torn

وَلٰايُغْلَقُ بَابُهُ

And whose door is never closed

وَلٰايُرَدُّ سٰاۤ ئِلُهُ

And whose petitioner is never turned away

وَلٰا يُخَيَّبُ اٰمِلُهُ

And whose hopeful seeker is never disappointed

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ يُؤْمِنُ الْخٰۤائِفِيْنَ

All praise be to Allah, who grants safety to the fearful

وَيُنَجِّيْ الصّٰالِحِيْنَ وَيَرْفَعُ الْمُسْتَضْعَفِيْنَ

And delivers the righteous and raises the oppressed

وَيَضَعُ الْمُسْتَكْبِرِيْنَ

And humbles the arrogant

وَيُهْلِكُ مُلُوْكاً وَيَسْتَخْلِفُ اٰخَرِيْنَ

And destroys kings and replaces them with others

وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ قٰاصِمِ الْجَبّٰارِيْنَ

And All praise be to Allah, the Crusher of the tyrants

مُبِيْرِ الظّٰالِمِيْنَ

The Destroyer of the oppressors

مُدْرِكِ الْهٰارِبِيْنَ

The Overtaker of the fugitives

نَكٰالِ الظّٰالِمِيْنَ

The Punisher of the oppressors

صَرِيْخِ المُسْتَصْرِخِيْنَ

The Helper of those who cry for help

مَوْضِعِ حٰاجٰاتِ الطّٰالِبِيْنَ

The fulfiller of the needs of the seekers

مُعْتَمَدِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

The Reliance of the believers

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ مِنْ خَشْيَتِهِ تَرْعُدُ السَّمٰۤاءُ وَسُكّٰانُهَا

All praise be to Allah, from whose fear the heaven and its inhabitants tremble.

وَتَرْجُفُ الْاَرْضُ وَعُمّٰارُهٰا

And the earth and its inhabitants shake.

وَتَمُوْجُ الْبِحٰارُ وَمَنْ يَسْبَحُ فِيْ غَمَرٰاتِهٰا

And the seas and those who swim in their depths billow

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ هَدٰانٰا لِهٰذٰا

All praise be to Allah, who has guided us to this

وَمٰا كُنّٰا لِنَهْتَدِيَ لَوْلٰۤا اَنْ هَدٰانَا اللّٰهُ

And we would not have been guided had Allah not guided us

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ يَخْلُقُ وَلَمْ يُخْلَقْ

All praise be to Allah, who creates and is not created

وَيَرْزُقُ وَلٰا يُرْزَقُ

And provides sustenance, while He is not provided with sustenance

وَيُطْعِمُ وَلٰا يُطْعَمُ

And feeds, while He is not fed

وَيُمِيْتُ الْأَحْيٰۤاءَوَيُحْيِ الْمَوْتٰى

And He causes the living to die and gives life to the dead

وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لٰا يَمُوْتُ بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ

And He is the Ever-Living who does not die; in His hand is all good.

وَهُوَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

And He has power over all things

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَرَسُوْلِكَ وَاَمِيْنِكَ وَصَفِيِّكَ وَحَبِيْبِكَ

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad (s.a.w), Your servant, Your Messenger, Your trustee, Your chosen one, and Your beloved

وَخِيَرَتِكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

And Your best choice among Your creation

وَحٰافِظِ سِرِّكَ

And the protector of Your secret

وَمُبَلِّغِ رِسٰالٰاتِكَ

And the deliverer of Your messages

اَفْضَلَ وَاَحْسَنَ وَاَجْمَلَ وَاَ كْمَلَ وَاَزْكٰى وَاَنْمٰى

The most excellent, the best, the most beautiful, the most perfect, the purest, and the most increasing

وَاَطْيَبَ وَاَطْهَرَ وَاَسْنٰى وَاَ كْثَرَ مٰا صَلَّيْتَ وَبٰارَكْتَ وَتَرَحَّمْتَ وَتَحَنَّنْتَ

And the most pleasant, the purest, the loftiest, and the most that You have ever blessed, bestowed benedictions, had mercy, and shown tenderness,

وَسَلَّمْتَ عَلٰى اَحَدٍ مِنْ عِبٰادِكَ وَاَنْبِيٰۤائِكَ وَرُسُلِكَ وَصِفْوَتِكَ وَاَهْلِ الْكَرٰامَةِ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

and bestowed peace upon any of Your servants, Your prophets, Your messengers, Your chosen ones, and those honored by You among Your creation

اَللّٰهُمَّ وَصَلِّ عَلٰى عَلِيٍّ اَمِيْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَوَصِيِّ رَسُوْلِ رَبِّ الْعٰالَمِيْنَ

O Allah, and send blessings upon Ali (a.s), the Commander of the Faithful and the successor of the Messenger of the Lord of the worlds.

عَبْدِكَ وَوَلِيِّكَ وَاَخِيْ رَسُوْلِكَ وَحُجَّتِكَ عَلٰى خَلْقِكَ

Your servant, Your guardian, the brother of Your Messenger, and Your proof over Your creation

وَاٰيَتِكَ الْكُبْرٰى وَالنَّبَإِ الْعَظِيْمِ

and Your greatest sign, and the momentous news

وَصَلِّ عَلىٰ الصِّدِّيْقَةِ الطَّاهِرَةِ فَاطِمَةَ سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ

And send blessings upon the Truthful, the Pure, Fatimah (s.a), the Leader of the women of the worlds

وَصَلِّ عَلى سِبْطَي الرَّحْمَةِ وَإِمَامَي الْهُدٰى

And send blessings upon the two grandsons of mercy and the two leaders of guidance

اَلْحَسَنِ وَالْحُسَيْنِ سَيِّدَيْ شَبٰابِ اَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ

Al-Hasan(a.s) and al-Husayn(a.s), the two masters of the youths of the Paradise

وَصَلِّ عَلٰى اَئِمَّةِ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ

And send blessings upon the Imams (a.m.s) of the Muslims

عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ

Ali bin al-Husayn (a.s)

وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ

Muhammad bin `Ali (a.s)

وَجَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Ja`far bin Muhammad (a.s)

وَمُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ

Musa bin Ja`far (a.s)

وَعَلِيِّ بْنِ مُوسىٰ

Ali bin Musa (a.s)

وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ

Muhammad bin `Ali (a.s)

وَعَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Ali bin Muhammad (a.s)

وَالْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ

al-Hasan bin `Ali (a.s)

وَالْخَلَفِ الْهٰادِي الْمَهْدِيِّ

And the Successor, the Guide, the Mahdi (a.t.f.s)

حُجَجِكَ عَلىٰ عِبادِكَ وَاُمَنَائِكَ فِي بِلَادِكِ

Your proofs over Your servants and Your trustees in Your lands

صَلوٰةً كَثِيرَةً دٰۤائِمَةً

(With) blessings that are abundant and everlasting

اَللّٰهُمَّ وَصَلِّ عَلٰى وَليِّ اَمْرِكَ الْقٰۤائِمِ الْمُؤَمَّلِ وَالْعَدْلِ الْمُنْتَظَرِوَحُفَّهُ بِمَلۤائِكَتِكَ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَ

O Allah, and send blessings upon the guardian of Your command, the Upholder (al-Qa'im), the Awaited Hope, and the Expected Justice; and surround Him with Your closest angels,

وَاَيِّدْهُ بِرُوْ حِ الْقُدُسِ

and support Him with the Holy Spirit (Ruhul Quds)

يَا رَبَّ الْعٰالَمِيْنَ

O Lord of the worlds

اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ الدّٰاعِيَ اِلٰى كِتٰابِكَ وَالْقٰۤائِمَ بِدِيْنِكَ

O Allah, make Him the caller to Your Book and the upholder of Your religion

اِسْتَخْلِفْهُ فِي الْاَرْضِ كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفْتَ الَّذِيْنَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ

grant Him succession on the earth, just as You granted succession to those before Him

مَكِّنْ لَهُ دِيْنَهُ الَّذِي ارْتَضَيْتَهُ لَهُ

and establish for Him His religion which You have sanctioned for Him

اَبْدِلْهُ مِنْ بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِ اَمْناً يَعْبُدُكَ لٰا يُشْرِكُ بِكَ شَيْئاً

and replace His fear with security, that He may worship You, associating nothing with You

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَعِزَّهُ وَاَعْزِزْ بِهِ وَانْصُرْهُ وَانْتَصِرْ بِهِ

O Allah, grant Him glory and grant glory through Him; and grant Him victory and grant victory through Him.

وَانْصُرْهُ نَصْراً عَزِيْزاً وَافْتَحْ لَهُ فَتْحاً يَسِيْراً

and grant Him a mighty victory, and grant Him an easy conquest

وَاجْعَلْ لَهُ مِنْ لَدُنْكَ سُلْطَاناً نَصِيْراً

and grant Him from Your Presence a supporting authority

اَللّٰهُمَّ أَظْهِرْ بِهِ دِينَكَ وَسُنَّةَ نَبِيِّكَ

O Allah, manifest through Him Your religion and the Sunnah of Your Prophet (s.a.w)

حَتّٰى لٰا يَسْتَخْفِيَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنَ الْحَقِّ مَخٰافَةَ اَحَدٍ مِنَ الْخَلْقِ

that the Truth (Haq) will be so prevalent and protected that it no longer needs to be hidden out of fear of any creation

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنّٰا نَرْغَبُ اِ لَيْكَ فِيْ دَوْلَةٍ كَرِيْمَةٍ

O Allah, we truly desire from You a noble state

تُعِزُّ بِهَا الْاِسْلٰامَ وَاَهْلَهُ وَتُذِلُّ بِهَا النِّفٰاقَ وَاَهْلَهُ

through which You exalt Islam and its people, and humiliate hypocrisy and its people

وَتَجْعَلُنٰا فِيْهٰا مِنَ الدُّعٰاةِ اِلٰى طٰاعَتِكَ وَالْقٰادَةِ اِلٰى سَبِيْلِكَ

and place us within it among the callers to Your obedience and the leaders to Your path

وَتَرْزُقُنٰا بِهٰا كَرٰامَةَ الدُّنْيٰا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ

and grant us through Him the honor of this world and the Hereafter

اَللّٰهُمَّ مٰا عَرَّفْتَنٰا مِنَ الْحَقِّ فَحَمِّلْنٰاهُ

O Allah, whatever of the Truth You have made known to us, enable us to bear (uphold) it

وَمٰا قَصُرْنٰا عَنْهُ فَبَلِّغْنٰاهُ

and whatever of it we fall short of, enable us to attain it

اَللّٰهُمَّ الْمُمْ بِهِ شَعَثَنٰاوَاشْعَبْ بِهِ صَدْعَنٰا

O Allah, through Him, bring together our scattered affairs and repair our brokenness

وَارْتُقْ بِهِ فَتْقَنٰا

and mend our divisions through Him

وَكَثِّرْ بِهِ قِلَّتَنٰا

and through Him, increase our small numbers

وَاَعْزِزْ بِهِ ذِلَّتَنٰا

and through Him, exalt our lowliness (humiliation)

وَاَغْنِ بِهِ عٰۤائِلَنٰا

and through Him, enrich our needy (dependents)

وَاَقْضِ بِهِ عَنْ مُغْرَمِنٰا

and through Him, settle our debts (obligations)

وَاجْبُرْ بِهِ فَقْرَنٰا

and through Him, repair our poverty

وَسُدَّ بِهِ خَلَّتَنٰا

and through Him, fill our gaps (voids)

وَيَسِّرْ بِهِ عُسْرَنٰا

and through Him, ease our difficulties

وَبَيِّضْ بِهِ وُجُوْهَنٰا

and through him, brighten our faces (give us honor)

وَفُكَّ بِهِ اَسْرَنٰا

and through Him, release our captives (set us free)

وَاَنْجِحْ بِهِ طَلِبَتَنٰا

and through Him, grant success to our requests (fulfillment of our desires)

وَاَنْجِزْ بِهِ مَوَاعِيْدَنٰا

and through Him, fulfill our promises (and the promises made to us)

وَاسْتَجِبْ بِهِ دَعْوَتَنٰا

and through Him, grant (answer) our prayers

وَاَعْطِنَا بِهِ سُؤْلَنٰا

and through Him, grant us our requests (all that we ask for)

وَبَلِّغْنَا بِهِ مِنَ الدُّنْيٰا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ اٰمٰالَنٰا

and through Him, grant us attainment of our aspirations in this world and the Hereafter

وَاَعْطِنٰا بِهِ فَوْقَ رَغْبَتِنٰا

and through Him, give us even more than what we desire

يٰا خَيْرَ الْمَسْؤُوْلِيْنَ

O best of those who are asked

وَاَوْسَعَ الْمُعْطِيْنَ

and the most generous of givers

اِشْفِ بِهِ صُدُوْرَنٰا

and through Him, heal our hearts (chests)

وَاَذْهِبْ بِهِ غَيْظَ قُلُوْبِنٰا

and through Him, remove the anger (and distress) of our hearts

وَاهْدِنٰا بِهِ لِمَا اخْتُلِفَ فِيْهِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ بِاِذْنِكَ

and through Him, guide us to the truth in matters where there is disagreement, by Your permission

اِنَّكَ تَهْدِيْ مَنْ تَشٰۤاءُ اِلٰى صِرٰاطٍ مُسْتَقِيْمٍ

Indeed, You guide whom You will to a straight path

وَانْصُرْنٰا بِهِ عَلٰى عَدُوِّكَ وَعَدُوِّنٰا

and through Him, grant us victory over Your enemy and our enemy

اِلٰهَ الْحَقِّ اٰمِيْنَ

O God of Truth, Amen

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنّٰا نَشْكُوْ اِلَيْكَ فَقْدَ نَبِيِّنٰا صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهِ

O Allah, we complain to You of the loss of our Prophet (s.a.w)

وَغَيْبَةَ وَلِيِّنٰا

and the occultation (hidden presence) of our Guardian

وَكَثْرَةَ عَدُوِّنٰا

and the abundance (great number) of our enemies

وَقِلَّةَ عَدَدِنٰا

and the smallness (fewness) of our numbers

وَشِدَّةَ الْفِتَنِ بِنٰا

and the severity of the trials (fitnah) against us

وَتَظَاهُرَ الزَّمٰانِ عَلَيْنٰا

and the turning (conspiracy) of the times against us

فَصَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِهِ

So, send blessings upon Muhammad(s.a.w) and his progeny

وَاَعِنّٰا عَلٰى ذٰلِكَ بِفَتْحٍ مِنْكَ تُعَجِّلُهُ

and assist us in all this with a victory from You, which You hasten

وَبِضُرٍّ تَكْشِفُهُ وَنَصْرٍ تُعِزُّهُ وَسُلْطٰانِ حَقٍّ تُظْهِرُهُ

and by the removal of the harm (hardship) that You take away, and by a victory that You strengthen, and by a truthful authority that You make manifest

وَرَحْمَةٍ مِنْكَ تُجَلِّلُنٰاهٰا وَعٰافِيَةٍ مِنْكَ تُلْبِسُنٰاهٰا

and a mercy from You that covers us, and a well-being (safety) from You that You clothe us with.

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يٰا اَرْحَمَ الرّٰاحِمِيْنَ

By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of those who show mercy

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad(s.a.w) and the progeny of Muhammad(s.a.w)
