- - - - - Performing Ghusl - - - - -
It is recommended to perform Ghusl in the evening so that the prayers of Maghrib and Isha'a are performed in absolute cleanliness

Prophet Mohammad (s.a.w) has said that whoever performs two Raka'at of prayers during Shab-e-Qadr then before his rising up from the prayers, Allah(swt) will forgive all his sins and the sins of his parents. The prayer is in a manner that after Sura Al-Hamd, recites 7 times Sura Tawheed (Qul ho-Allah ho Ahad) and after prayers recites 70 times:
اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ وَ اَتُوْبُ اِلَيْهِ
I seek the forgiveness of Allah and I repent before Him

One should open the Holy Qur'an and hold it in front of his face. Then recite
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْاَلُكَ بِكِتَابِكَ الْمُنْزَلِ وَ مَا فِيْهِ
O Allah I beseech Thee in the name of Thy revealed Book and that which is in it
وَ فِيْهِ اسْمُكَ الْاَكْبَرُ وَ اَسْمَاؤُكَ الْحُسْنٰى
and Thy Great Name and Thy (Other) beautiful names are in it
وَ مَا يُخَافُ وَ يُرْجٰى
and in it there is that which warns and gives hope to
اَنْ تَجْعَلَنِيْ مِنْ عُتَقَائِكَ مِنَ النَّارِ
include me among those who have been set free from the Hellfire. (After that one should pray to God for any needs of his.)
Take the Holy Qur'an and hold it on your head and recite:
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
اَللّٰهُمَّ بِحَقِّ هٰذَا الْقُرْاٰنِ
O Allah: for the sake of this (Holy) Qur'an
وَ بِحَقِّ مَنْ اَرْسَلْتَہٗ بِہٖ
and for the sake of that person (Prophet s.a.w) through whom You sent it,
وَ بِحَقِّ كُلِّ مُؤْمِنٍ مَدَحْتَہٗ فِيْہٖ
and for the sake of those believers who have been praised therein
وَ بِحَقِّكَ عَلَيْهِمْ
and in the name of Your obligation to them,
فَلَا اَحَدَ اَعْرَفُ بِحَقِّكَ مِنْكَ
no one is aware of Your obligation more than You
Recite the below 10 times each
بِكَ يَا اللهُ
For Your sake, O Allah
بِمُحَمّدٍ
for the sake of Muhammad
بِعَلِيٍّ
for the sake of Ali
بِفَاطِمَةَ
for the sake of Fatimah
بِالْحَسَنِ
for the sake of Hasan
بِالْحُسَيْنِ
for the sake of Husayn
بِعَلِىِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ
for the sake of `Ali ibn Husayn
بِمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِىٍّ
for the sake of Muhammad ibn Ali
بِجَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ
for the sake of Ja`far ibn Muhammad
بِمُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ
for the sake of Musa ibn Jafar
بِعَلِىِّ بْنِ مُوسٰى
for the sake of Ali ibn Musa
بِمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِىٍّ
for the sake of Muhammad ibn Ali
بِعَلِىِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ
for the sake of Ali ibn Muhammad
بِالْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِىٍّ
for the sake of Hasan ibn Ali
بِالْحُجَّةِ
for the sake of al-Hujjah
One should then pray to Almighty Allah to fulfill one’s desires
