دعای هفتم صحیفه سجادیه (دعاء الأمن)

Dua 7 - When Faced with a Worrisome Task

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

In the Name of Allah, the All-Beneficent, the All-Merciful.

يَا مَنْ تُحَلُّ بِهٖ عُقَدُ الْمَكَـارِهٖ

O He through whom the knots of difficulties are untied!

وَ يَا مَنْ يُفْثَئُا بِهٖ حَدُّ الشَّدَاۤئِدِ

O He through whom the edge of hardships is blunted!

وَ يَا مَنْ يُلْتَمَسُ مِنْهُ الْمَخْرَجُ اِلٰى رَوْحِ الْفَرَجِ

O He from whom is sought the way out to the breath of relief!

ذَلَّتْ لِقُدْرَتِكَ الصِّعَابُ

Hardships are humbled before Your power.

وَ تَسَبَّبَتْ بِلُطْفِكَ الْاَسْبَابُ

And the means are made effective through Your grace.

وَ جَرٰى بِقُدْرَتِكَ الْقَضَاۤءُ

The decree has flowed by Your power.

وَ مَضَتْ عَلٰى اِرَادَتِكَ الْاَشْيَاۤءُ

And all things proceed according to Your will.

فَهِىَ بِمَشِيَّتِكَ دُوْنَ قَوْلِكَ مُؤْتَمِرَةٌ

They follow Your desire without You even speaking.

وَ بِاِرَادَتِكَ دُوْنَ نَهْيِكَ مُنْزَجِرَةٌ

They are restrained by Your will without Your prohibition.

اَنْتَ الْمَدْعُوُّ لِلْمُهِمَّاتِ

You are the one called upon in calamities.

وَ اَنْتَ الْمَفْزَعُ فِى الْمُلِمَّاتِ

And You are the refuge in afflictions.

لَا يَنْدَفِعُ مِنْهَا اِلَّا مَا دَفَعْتَ

Nothing is repelled except what You repel.

وَ لَا يَنْكَشِفُ مِنْهَا اِلَّا مَا كَشَفْتَ

And nothing is removed except what You remove.

وَ قَدْ نَزَلَ بِىْ يَا رَبِّ مَا قَدْ تَكَاَدَّنِىْ ثِقْلُهٗ

O Lord, something has descended upon me that burdens me.

وَ اَلَّمَ بِىْ مَا قَدْ بَهَظَنِىْ حَمْلُهٗ

And I am befallen by that which exhausts me to carry.

وَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ اَوْرَدْتَهٗ عَلَىَّ

By Your power, You have brought it upon me.

وَ بِسُلْطَانِكَ وَجَّهْتَهٗ اِلَىَّ

And by Your authority, You have turned it toward me.

فَلَا مُصْدِرَ لِمَآ اَوْرَدْتَ

So there is no one to send away what You have brought.

وَ لَا صَارِفَ لِمَا وَجَّهْتَ

And no one to turn aside what You have turned.

وَ لَا فَاتِحَ لِمَا اَغْلَقْتَ

And no one to open what You have closed.

وَ لَا مُغْلِقَ لِمَا فَتَحْتَ

And no one to close what You have opened.

وَ لَا مُيَسِّرَ لِمَا عَسَّرْتَ

And no one to make easy what You have made difficult.

وَ لَا نَاصِرَ لِمَنْ خَذَلْتَ

And no one to help the one You have forsaken.

فَصَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اٰلِهٖ

So bless Muhammad(s.a.w) and the Progeny of Muhammad(s.a.w).

وَ افْتَحْ لِىْ يَا رَبِّ بَابَ الْفَرَجِ بِطَوْلِكَ

وَ افْتَحْ لِىْ يَا رَبِّ بَابَ الْفَرَجِ بِطَوْلِكَ

وَاكْسِرْ عَنِّىْ سُلْطَانَ الْهَمِّ بِحَوْلِكَ

And break the grip of grief from me through Your power.

وَ اَنِلْنِىْ حُسْنَ النَّظَرِ فِيْمَا شَكَوْتُ

And grant me Your kind attention to what I have complained of.

وَ اَذِقْنِىْ حَلَاوَةَ الصُّنْعِ فِيْمَا سَاَلْتُ

Let me taste the sweetness of Your response to what I have asked.

وَ هَبْ لِىْ مِنْ لَّدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً وَ فَرَجًا هَنِيْئًا

Grant me from Your presence mercy and a pleasant relief.

وَ اجْعَلْ لِىْ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ مَخْرَجًا وَ حَيًّا

And provide for me from Yourself a way out and a quick remedy.

وَ لَا تَشْغَلْنِىْ بِالْاِهْتِمَامِ

Do not let anxiety distract me from Your obligations.

عَنْ تَعَاهُدِ فَرُوْضِكَ وَاسْتِعْمَالِ سُنَّتِكَ

from observing Your obligatory duties and practicing Your Sunnah.

فَقَدْ ضِقْتُ لِمَا نَزَلَ بِىْ يَا رَبِّ ذَرْعًا

O Lord, I am distressed by what has happened to me.

وَ امْتَلَأْتُ بِحَمْلِ مَا حَدَثَ عَلَىَّ هَمًّا

And I am filled with grief by carrying this burden.

وَ اَنْتَ الْقَادِرُ عَلٰى كَشْفِ مَا مُنِيْتُ بِهٖ

And You have the power to remove what I am afflicted with.

وَ دَفْعِ مَا وَقَعْتُ فِيْهِ

And avert what I have fallen into.

فَافْعَل بِىْ ذٰلِكَ وَ اِنْ لَمْ اَسْتَوْجِبْهُ مِنْكَ يَا ذَا الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ

Then do that for me, even if I do not deserve it from You, O Possessor of the Mighty Throne.

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يٰا اَرْحَمَ الرّٰاحِمِيْنَ

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
