Dua e Semat

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْئَلُكَ بِاسْمِكَ الْعَظِيْمِ الْاَعْظَمِ الْاَعَزِّ الْاَجَلِّ اْلاَكْرَمِ

O Allah, I ask You by Your Name, the Great, the Greatest, the Most Mighty, the Most Glorious, the Most Noble.

اَلَّذِيْ اِذَا دُعِيْتَ بِهِ عَلٰى مَغَالِقِ أبْوَابِ السَّمَاءِ لِلْفَتْحِ بِالرَّحْمَةِ انْفَتَحَتْ

The One by Whom, if You are invoked for the locked gates of the heavens to open with mercy, they open.

وَ اِذَا دُعِيْتَ بِهِ عَلٰى مَضَايِقِ أبْوَابِ الْاَرْضِ لِلْفَرَجِ انْفَرَجَتْ

And if it is invoked through you upon the constricted gates of the earth for relief, they would open.

وَ اِذَا دُعِيْتَ بِهِ عَلَى الْعُسْرِ لِلْيُسْرِ تَيَسَّرَتْ

And if it was invoked with it for ease from hardship, it became easy.

وَ اِذَا دُعِيْتَ بِهِ عَلَى الْاَمْوَاتِ لِلنُّشُوْرِ انْتَشَرَتْ

And if it were invoked upon the dead for resurrection, they would rise.

وَاِذَا دُعِيْتَ بِهِ عَلٰى كَشْفِ الْبَأْسَاءِ وَ الضَّرَّاءِ انْكَشَفَتْ

And when invoked to remove misfortunes and calamities, they are averted

وَبِجَلَالِ وَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيْمِ، اَكْرَمِ الْوُجُوْهِ ، وَ اَعَزِّ الْوُجُوْهِ

And by the Glory of Your Noble Face, the most honorable and the most mighty of countenances.

الَّذِيْ عَنَتْ لَهُ الْوُجُوْهُ ، وَ خَضَعَتْ لَهُ الرِّقَابُ

Before which all faces bow in humility, and all necks are lowered in submission

وَ خَشَعَتْ لَهُ الْاَصْوَاتُ، وَ وَجِلَتْ لَهُ الْقُلُوْبُ مِنْ مَخَافَتِكَ

And all voices are hushed, and all hearts tremble out of Your fear

وَ بِقُوَّتِكَ الَّتِيْ بِهَا تُمْسِكُ السَّمَاءَ اَنْ تَقَعَ عَلَى الْاَرْضِ اِلَّا بِاِذْنِكَ

And by Your power, by which You hold the heaven from falling upon the earth except by Your permission.

وَ بِمَشِيَّتِكَ الَّتِيْ دَانَ [كَانَ‏] لَهَا الْعَالَمُوْنَ

And by Your Will, which the whole world follows and obeys.

وَ خَلَقْتَ بِهَا الظُّلْمَةَ وَ جَعَلْتَهَا لَيْلًا وَ جَعَلْتَ اللَّيْلَ سَكَنًا

And You created darkness and made it night, and made the night a time for rest.

وَخَلَقْتَ بِهَا النُّورَ وَ جَعَلْتَهُ نَهَارًا وَ جَعَلْتَ النَّهَارَ نُشُوْرًا مُبْصِرًا

And created light making it day, and made the day for rising and seeing

وَ خَلَقْتَ بِهَا الشَّمْسَ وَ جَعَلْتَ الشَّمْسَ ضِيَاءً، وَخَلَقْتَ بِهَا الْقَمَرَ وَ جَعَلْتَ الْقَمَرَ نُوْرًا

And created the sun making it a radiance, and created the moon making it a light

وَ خَلَقْتَ بِهَا الْكَوَاكِبَ وَ جَعَلْتَهَا نُجُوْماً وَ بُرُوْજاً وَ مَصَابِيْحَ وَ زِيْنَةً وَرُجُوْماً

And with it, You created the planets, and You made them stars, and constellations, and lamps, and an adornment, and projectiles.

وَ جَعَلْتَ لَهَا مَشَارِقَ وَ مَغَارِبَ ، وَ جَعَلْتَ لَهَا مَطَالِعَ وَ مَجَارِيَ ، وَ جَعَلْتَ لَهَا فَلَكاً وَ مَسَابِحَ

And made for them easts and wests, and made for them places of rising and orbits, and made for them a firmament and paths.

وَ قَدَّرْتَهَا فِي السَّمَاءِ مَنَازِلَ فَاَحْسَنْتَ تَقْدِيْرَهَا، وَ صَوَّرْتَهَا فَاَحْسَنْتَ تَصْوِيْرَهَا

And ordained for them stations in heaven and perfected their measure, and fashioned them and perfected their fashioning.

وَ اَحْصَيْتَهَا بِاَسْمَائِكَ اِحْصَاءً ، وَ دَبَّرْتَهَا بِحِكْمَتِكَ تَدْبِيْرًا وَاَحْسَنْتَ تَدْبِيْرَهَا

And numbered them by Your names precisely, and managed them by Your wisdom and perfected their management.

وَ سَخَّرْتَهَا بِسُلْطَانِ اللَّيْلِ وَ سُلْطَانِ النَّهَارِ وَ السَّاعَاتِ وَ عَدَدِ السِّنِينَ وَالْحِسَابِ

And subjected them to the authority of night and day, hours, and the count of years and calculation.

وَ جَعَلْتَ رُؤْيَتَهَا لِجَمِيْعِ النَّاسِ مَرْأً وَاحِداً

And made their sight a single vision for all people

وَ اَسْاَلُكَ اللّٰهُمَّ بِمَجْدِكَ الَّذِيْ كَلَّمْتَ بِهِ عَبْدَكَ وَ رَسُولَكَ مُوسَى بْنَ عِمْرَانَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ

And I ask You, O Allah, by Your Glory through which You spoke to Your servant and messenger Musa ibn Imran (as).

فِي الْمُقَدَّسِيْنَ فَوْقَ اِحْسَاسِ الْكَرُوْبِيْنَ، فَوْقَ غَمَائِمِ النُّوْرِ، فَوْقَ تَابُوْتِ الشَّهَادَةِ فِيْ عَمُوْدِ النَّارِ

Among the holy ones, beyond the perception of Cherubim, above the clouds of light, above the Ark of Testimony, in the pillar of fire.

وَ فِيْ طُوْرِ سَيْنَاءَ ، وَ فِيْ جَبَلِ حُوْرِيْثَ فِي الْوَادِ الْمُقَدَّسِ فِي الْبُقْعَةِ الْمُبَارَكَةِ مِنْ جَانِبِ الطُّوْرِ الْاَيْمَنِ مِنَ الشَّجَرَةِ

And in Mount Sinai, and in Mount Horeb, in the holy valley, in the blessed spot from the right side of the Mount from the tree.

وَ فِيْ اَرْضِ مِصْرَ بِتِسْعِ آيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ ، وَ يَوْمَ فَرَقْتَ لِبَنِيْ اِسْرَائِيْلَ الْبَحْرَ

And in the land of Egypt with nine clear signs, and on the day You split the sea for the children of Israel.

فِي الْمُنْبَجِسَاتِ الَّتِيْ صَنَعْتَ بِهَا الْعَجَائِبَ فِي بَحْرِ سُوْفٍ

And in the gushing springs through which You performed wonders in the Sea of Suf

وَ عَقَدْتَ مَاءَ الْبَحْرِ فِيْ قَلْبِ الْغَمْرِ كَالْحِجَارَةِ، وَجَاوَزْتَ بِبَنِيْ اِسْرَائِيْلَ الْبَحْرَ

And You froze the water of the sea in the heart of the abyss like stones, and You made the children of Israel cross the sea.

وَ تَمَّتْ كَلِمَتُكَ الْحُسْنٰى عَلَيْهِمْ بِمَا صَبَرُوا، وَ اَوْرَثْتَهُمْ مَشَارِقَ الْاَرْضِ وَ مَغَارِبَهَا

And Your beautiful word was fulfilled for them because they were patient, and You made them inherit the easts of the earth and its wests.

وَ اَغْرَقْتَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَ جُنُوْدَهُ وَ مَرَاكِبَهُ فِي الْيَمِّ

And You drowned Pharaoh, his soldiers, and his chariots in the sea

وَ بِاسْمِكَ الْعَظِيْمِ الْاَعْظَمِ الْاَعَزِّ الْاَجَلِّ الْاكْرَمِ

And by Your Great, Greatest, Mightiest, Most Glorious and Most Generous Name

وَ بِمَجْدِكَ الَّذِيْ تَجَلَّيْتَ بِهِ لِمُوسىٰ كَلِيْمِكَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فِي طُورِ سَيْنَاءَ

And by Your Glory which You manifested to Musa (as) Your Interlocutor at Mount Sinai

وَ لِاِبْرَاهِيْمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ خَلِيْلِكَ مِنْ قَبْلُ فِيْ مَسْجِدِ الْخَيْفِ

And to Ibrahim (as) Your Friend before that in Masjid al-Khayf

وَ لِاِسْحَاقَ صَفِيِّكَ عَلَيْهِ السَّલَامُ فِيْ بِئْرِ شِيَعٍ ، وَلِيَعْقُوْبَ نَبِيِّكَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فِي بَيْتِ اِيْلٍ

And to Ishaq (as) Your Chosen one in the Well of Shi’a, and to Yaqub (as) Your Prophet in Bayt-El.

وَ اَوْفَيْتَ لِاِبْرَاهِيْمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ بِمِيْثَاقِكَ، وَ لِاِسْحَاقَ بِحَلْفِكَ، وَلِيَعْقُوْبَ بِشَهَادَتِكَ

And You fulfilled Your covenant for Ibrahim (as), Your oath for Ishaq (as), and Your testimony for Yaqub (as).

وَ لِلْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ بِوَعْدِكَ، وَ لِلدَّاعِيْنَ بِاَسْمَائِكَ فَاَجَبْتَ

And Your promise to the believers, and You answered those who called You by Your names.

وَ بِمَجْدِكَ الَّذِيْ ظَهَرَ لِمُوسَى بْنِ عِمْرَانَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ عَلٰى قُبَّةِ الرُّمَّانِ

And by Your Glory which appeared to Musa ibn Imran (as) upon the Dome of Rumman

وَ بِآيَاتِكَ الَّتِيْ وَقَعَتْ عَلٰى اَرْضِ مِصْرَ بِمَجْدِ الْعِزَّةِ وَالْغَلَبَةِ بِآيَاتٍ عَزِيْزَةٍ

And by Your signs which occurred on the land of Egypt with the glory of might and dominance with mighty signs.

وَ بِسُلْطَانِ الْقُوَّةِ، وَ بِعِزَّةِ الْقُدْرَةِ، وَبِشَأْنِ الْكَلِمَةِ التَّامَّةِ

And by the authority of power, the might of ability, and the status of the Perfect Word

وَ بِكَلِمَاتِكَ الَّતِيْ تَفَضَّلْتَ بِهَا عَلَى اَهْلِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْاَرْضِ، وَ اَهْلِ الدُّنْيَا وَ اَهْلِ الْآخِرَةِ

And by Your words through which You bestowed favor upon the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth, and the people of this world and the Hereafter.

وَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ الَّتِي مَنَنْتَ بِهَا عَلٰى جَمِيْعِ خَلْقِكَ، وَ بِاسْتِطَاعَتِكَ الَّتِيْ اَقَمْتَ بِهَا عَلَى الْعَالَمِيْنَ

And by Your mercy which You bestowed upon all Your creation, and by Your power with which You sustained the worlds.

وَ بِنُوْરِكَ الَّذِيْ قَدْ خَرَّ مِنْ فَزَعِهِ طُوْرُ سَيْنَاءَ

And by Your light from whose awe Mount Sinai crumbled

وَ بِعِلْمِكَ وَ جَلَالِكَ وَ كِبْرِيَائِكَ وَ عِزَّتِكَ وَ جَبَرُوْتِكَ الَّتِيْ لَمْ تَسْتَقِلَّهَا الْاَرْضُ

And by Your knowledge, glory, greatness, might, and majesty which the earth could not bear.

وَانْخَفَضَتْ لَهَا السَّمَاوَاتُ، وَانْزَجَرَ لَهَا الْعُمْقُ الْاَكْبَرُ، وَ رَكَدَتْ لَهَا الْبِحَارُ وَ الْاَنْهَارُ

For which the heavens lowered, the greatest depths were restrained, and the seas and rivers stood still.

وَ خَضَعَتْ لَهَا الْجِبَالُ ، وَ سَكَنَتْ لَهَا الْاَرْضُ بِمَنَاكِبِهَا

or which the mountains submitted, and the earth became still on its shoulders

وَ اسْتَسْلَمَتْ لَهَا الْخَلائِقُ كُلُّهَا، وَ خَفَقَتْ لَهَا الرِّيَاحُ فِيْ جَرَيَانِهَا، وَ خَمَدَتْ لَهَا النِّيْرَانُ فِيْ اَوْطَانِهَا

To which all creatures submitted, the winds faltered in their flow, and the fires were extinguished in their places.

وَ بِسُلْطَانِكَ الَّذِيْ عُرِفَتْ لَكَ بِهِ الْغَلَبَةُ دَهْرَ الدُّهُوْرِ، وَ حُمِدْتَ بِهِ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْاَرَضِيْنَ

And by Your authority through which Your dominance is known forever, and You are praised for it in the heavens and the earths.

وَ بِكَلِمَتِكَ كَلِمَةِ الصِّدْقِ الَّتِيْ سَبَقَتْ لِاَبِيْنَا آدَمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ وَ ذُرِّيَّتِهِ بِالرَّحْمَةِ

And by Your Word, the Word of Truth, which preceded for our father Adam (as) and his progeny with mercy.

وَ اَسْاَلُكَ بِكَلِمَتِكَ الَّتِيْ غَلَبَتْ كُلَّ شَيْ‏ءٍ ، وَ بِنُوْرِ وَجْهِكَ الَّذِيْ تَجَلَّيْتَ بِهِ لِلْجَبَلِ فَجَعَلْتَهُ دَكّاً وَ خَرَّ مُوسَى صَعِقاً

And I ask You by Your Word which overcame everything, and by the light of Your Face which You manifested to the mountain making it crumble and Musa fell unconscious

وَ بِمَجْدِكَ الَّذِي ظَهَرَ عَلٰى طُوْرِ سَيْنَاءَ فَكَلَّمْتَ بِهِ عَبْدَكَ وَ رَسُوْلَكَ مُوسَى بْنَ عِمْرَانَ

And by Your Glory which appeared on Mount Sinai, through which You spoke to Your servant and messenger Musa ibn Imran.

وَ بِطَلْعَتِكَ فِيْ سَاعِيْرَ، وَ ظُهُوْرِكَ فِيْ جَبَلِ فَارَانَ، بِرَبَوَاتِ الْمُقَدَّسِيْنَ

And by Your appearance in Seir, and Your manifestation in Mount Paran, on the heights of the holy ones.

وَ جُنُوْدِ الْمَلَائِكَةِ الصَّافِّيْنَ ، وَ خُشُوْعِ الْمَلَائِكَةِ الْمُسَبِّحِيْنَ

And the armies of angels standing in ranks, and the humility of the praising angels

وَ بِبَرَكَاتِكَ الَّتِيْ بَارَكْتَ فِيْهَا عَلٰى اِبْرَاهِيْمَ خَلِيْلِكَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فِيْ اُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ

And by Your blessings with which You blessed Your friend Ibrahim (as) among the nation of Muhammad (saw).

وَ بَارَكْتَ لِاِسْحَاقَ صَفِيِّكَ فِيْ اُمَّةِ عِيْسٰى ، وَ بَارَكْتَ لِيَعْقُوبَ اِسْرَائِيْلِكَ فِيْ اُمَّةِ مُوسٰى

And You blessed Ishaq Your chosen one in the nation of Isa (as), and You blessed Yaqub in the nation of Musa (as).

وَ بَارَكْتَ لِحَبِيْبِكَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ فِي عِتْرَتِهِ وَ ذُرِّيَّتِهِ وَ اُمَّتِهِ

And You blessed Your beloved Muhammad (saw) in his progeny, his descendants, and his nation.

اَللّٰهُمَّ وَ كَمَا غِبْنَا عَنْ ذَالِكَ وَ لَمْ نَشْهَدْهُ ، وَ آمَنَّا بِهِ وَ لَمْ نَرَهُ، صِدْقاً وَ عَدْلاً

O Allah, and as we were absent from that and did not witness it, yet we believed in it without seeing, in truth and justice.

اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَ اَنْ تُبَارِكَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَ تَرَحَّمَ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

That You send blessings upon Muhammad(s.) and the progeny of Muhammad(s.), and bless Muhammad(s.) and the progeny of Muhammad(s.), and have mercy upon Muhammad(s.) and the progeny of Muhammad(s.).

كَاَفْضَلِ مَا صَلَّيْتَ وَ بَارَكْتَ وَ تَرَحَّمْتَ عَلٰى اِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَ آلِ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ، اِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَجِيْدٌ

Like the best You blessed and had mercy upon Ibrahim and the progeny of Ibrahim; surely You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.

اَللّٰهُمَّ بِحَقِّ هَذَا الدُّعَاءِ، وَ بِحَقِّ هٰذِهِ الْاَسْمَاءِ الَّتِيْ لَا يَعْلَمُ تَفْسِيْرَهَا، وَ لَا يَعْلَمُ بَاطِنَهَا غَيْرُكَ

O Allah, by the right of this supplication, and by the right of these names whose interpretation and inner meaning no one knows but You.

صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَ افْعَلْ بِيْ مَا اَنْتَ اَهْلُهُ، وَ لَا تَفْعَلْ بِيْ مَا اَنَا اَهْلُهُ

Bless Muhammad(s.) and the progeny of Muhammad(s.), and do with me what befits You, and do not do with me what I deserve.

وَ اغْفِرْ لِيْ مِنْ ذُنُوْبِي مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْهَا وَ مَا تَاَخَّرَ، وَ وَسِّعْ عَلَيَّ مِنْ حَلَالِ رزْقِكَ

And forgive my sins, the past and the future, and increase for me Your lawful sustenance.

وَاكْفِنِيْ مَئُوْنَةَ اِنْسَانِ سَوْءٍ، وَ جَارِ سَوْءٍ، وَ قَرِيْنِ سَوْءٍ، وَسُلْطَانِ سَوْءٍ

And suffice me against the trouble of an evil person, an evil neighbor, an evil companion, and an evil ruler.

اِنَّكَ عَلٰى مَا تَشَاءُ قَدِيْرٌ، وَ بِكُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ عَلِيْمٌ، آمِيْنَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

Surely You have power over what You will, and You are All-Knowing of everything. Ameen, Lord of the worlds.

اَللّٰهُمَّ بِحَقِّ هٰذَا الدُّعَاءِ تَفَضَّلْ عَلٰى فُقَرَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِالْغِنَى وَ الثَّرْوَةِ

O Allah! By the right of this Dua, bestow upon the poor believing men and women wealth and riches.

وَ عَلٰى مَرْضَى الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِالشِّفَاءِ وَ الصِّحَّةِ

And upon the sick believing men and women healing and health

وَ عَلٰى اَحْيَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِاللُّطْفِ وَ الْكَرَامَةِ

And upon the living believing men and women kindness and honor

وَ عَلٰى اَمْوَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِالْمَغْفِرَةِ وَ الرَّحْمَةِ

And upon the deceased believing men and women forgiveness and mercy

وَ عَلٰى مُسَافِرِي الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِالرَّدِّ اِلٰى اَوْطَانِهِمْ سَالِمِيْنَ غَانِمِيْنَ

And upon the traveling believing men and women return to their homelands safely and successfully.

بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِيْنَ

By Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.

وَ صَلّٰى اللهُ عَلٰى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّيْنَ وَعِتْرَتِهِ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ ، وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيماً كَثِيْرًا

And may Allah bless our master Muhammad(s.), the Seal of the Prophets, and his pure progeny, and grant them abundant peace.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْاَلُكَ بِحُرْمَةِ هٰذَا الدُّعَاءِ ، وَ بِمَا فَاتَ مِنْهُ مِنَ الْاَسْمَاءِ

O Allah! I ask You by the sanctity of this Dua, and by the names that were not mentioned therein.

وَ بِمَا يَشْتَمِلُ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ التَّفْسِيْرِ وَ التَّدْبِيْرِ الَّذِيْ لَا يُحِيْطُ بِهِ اِلَّا اَنْتَ

And by the interpretation and management it contains, which no one encompasses but You.

اَنْ تَفْعَلَ بِيْ كَذَا وَ كَذَا

That You do for me [mention your needs]

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad(s.a.w) and the progeny of Muhammad(s.a.w)
